So, here we all are just coming out of one of the toughest periods of our lives, and Earth Day is upon us. What will be different this year vs last year, or the ones before?

Well for one, today, the President of the United States is meeting with world leaders and recommitting the USA towards substantial strong carbon reduction targets, something that did not exist in 2020.

Secondly, we’re going into what is expected to be a boom period for renewable energy and electrification of transport, two technologies that the world leaders are now all united in supporting. The same support for these technologies was not existent in 2020. While the Earth benefited from lower carbon emissions during the pandemic, it is estimated that carbon levels will again rise due to increased economic activity. Our choice can be to mitigate this with as much renewable energy deployment and electrification of transportation as possible.

Third, having acquired the intellectual property of a major utility scale solar company, iSun now claims over 650 Megawatts of solar system construction history, enough to power over 750,000 homes, solely by clean solar power.

Earth Day is about our planet. It’s about the third of our ROIs (investment, intention, IMPACT). Clearly the world is turning a page and getting serious about Decarbonizing, Democratizing, Demystifying and Decentralizing clean renewable energy to the locations where it is most needed.

At the end of the day, each of us can play a role in the extension of our lease on our planet. The earth will go on without us if necessary. It is up to humankind to decide what effect it will have on how long this wonderful journey will last for us. Wishing you a wonderful Earth Day 2021, from our family to yours.
